ABOUT:
This is the first piece in a trilogy inspired primarily by J.S.Bach’s Italian Concerto. The first movement of the concerto was in the back of my mind while composing Teleport.

I was also influenced by David Mitchell’s novel, Cloud Atlas. Teleport contains a small excerpt (in various guises) from the chanson, Doulce Memorie, by Pierre Regnault Sandrin, as arranged by Diego Ortiz in Trattado de Glosas (1553).

A depth of gratitude is owed to the brilliant Australian recorder virtuoso, Genevieve Lacey, for the invaluable feedback she provided me while composing this work.
