ABOUT:
The title of this work is a tribute to Beethoven’s piano sonata, Opus 101. Sonata 101 was awarded honourable mention in the 2006 Salvatore Martirano Memorial Composition Award Competition. As part of that competition, it was premiered by Darryl Friesen at the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, University of Illinois on 16th November 2006.
