ABOUT:
Approximately 66 million years ago, dinosaurs went about their frenetic lives oblivious to an impending disaster. A giant asteroid strike on the Yucatán Peninsula in Mexico resulted in immediate and widespread loss of life—but it was the worldwide climate disruption the collision caused which was ultimately responsible for bringing to an end the reign of the dinosaurs.
Kontakt was composed for the Australian pianist, Nicholas Young, who gave the premiere performance of this work on the recording, Cloud Day.
